Judi's Christmas Program
We attended Judi's Christmas program on the 15th of Dec.
Michael likes to sit by himself.
After the program Judi posed for pictures. I think we have a budding Shirley Temple. If she could only tap dance.
Grandma & grandpa had to fight the paparazzi to get in the picture.
Of course everyone poses with Michael.
Even the proud parents were allowed to pose for a picture.
We shot video but were unable to upload on the blog. We will try again after we resolve our technical difficulties.

We went to Janet & Gil's for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time and a great dinner. Janet slaved for hours while the men relaxed and watched the parade.
Michael & Michael played with Michael's trucks. Go figure.
The park where we stayed was decorated with many lights.
When we arrived home, Mary decorated our house for Christmas. She added a new decoration with a "birdhouse tree".
Our usual Wednesday routine is to have breakfast at Whoozits. Michael bought a tee-shirt and posed with his favorite waitress, Marsha.

Gwen's perspective.
Gwen arrived Friday afternoon to spend the weekend with us. Here are some pictures she took over the weekend. Saturday morning we went to breakfast at a little cafe in Ruidoso.
While we were enjoying our chuckwagon lunch, Michael was having his hamburger.
Sunday morning was cold as I mentioned previously. Michael was bundled up eating a cinnimon roll from the Cornerstone Bakery while we enjoyed our biscuit and gravy breakfast.
We all had a great time.
Sunday after breakfast we had roasted corn. It was fantastic.
Our evenings were spent reading, and updating our blog.

Sunday morning
,On a cold Sunday morning we battled jack frost to reach our chuckwagon. The temperature was cold. After the great lunch Saturday, we were expecting great things for breakfast. The Wild Cow Ranch did not disappoint. We were glad they were there because someone mis-read the tickets and we thought we were eating at the C - C which had left in the dead of night. Luckily, I was corrected and we found our designated chuckwagon. They were hard at work preparing our breakfast.
Again our two lovely ladies seemed to be happy with their breakfast.
Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, potato cake, sausage & of course, dutch-oven biscuits with cowboy gravy. Yum, yum said one of the lovely ladies. Gwen enjoyed her breakfast as evidenced by the carefully licked plate which I will not picture.
After breakfast we attended cowboy church. The dress was casual. The worship team was called "The Good News Gospel Band" from the J Bar J Country Church. The singing was excellent with congregational singing of many old hymns. Victory in Jesus, Power in the Blood, I'll Fly Away, What a Day That Will Be, to name a few.
The keyboard player was a spry 85 years young. She had taught piano for 63 years, She could really tickle the ivories. Mary has a new goal in life, to play at the cowboy symposium when she is 85.

Cookoff day
On Saturday we went to the Lincoln County Cowboy Symposium in Rudioso. Our first task was to locate the chuckwagon where we were to eat lunch. We would be dining at Lizzie II. The menu looked rib-sticking good.
We checked out the kitchen. It was an obvious "A" rating establishment.
The cooks had started early Saturday morning. It appeared to be a team effort.
I would like to be a chuckwagon cook, but I don't think I have achieved the proper "look". This was not our wagon.
We were able to catch some of the cooks exchanging recipes.
This was our lunch being cooked in dutch ovens.
Our cooks were hard working and seemed to enjoy their work.
Our table was set before us. Come & dine.

New Mexico trip II
While we were in town, we came across a small town parade.
We found Paul Bunyon's bed. We would of purchased the bed for $4,000, but did not have room in the back of the truck. We are still looking for an outhouse for my sister Irene.
We visited the Western Museum in Ruidoso, NM. Michael posed in front of the horses.
In the museum were many old methods of transportation. Michael in a chuckwagon setting.

Trip to New Mexico cookoff
Our first night out was spent outside Kingman Arizona. Mary took pictures the next morning of the sunrise behind our rig.
