Coeur d' Alene Day 1

After Redding, we went to Coeur d' Alene, Idaho to visit Mary's friend Grace. We stayed at a park along the Spokane River, which is the draining river for Lake Coeur d' Alene.

We met up with Steve and Pam and took a cruise on the lake. Here are Pam, Grace, and Steve waiting for the cruise.

Michael and Kelly waiting for the cruise.

Here comes the cruise ship.

On board and waiting to start the cruise. Mary, Steve, Pam, Michael and Kelly enjoying the good life.

Michael checks out the people on shore of the lake.

A house built upon a rock. That sounds almost biblical.

The 14th hole of the lake golf course is a floating green. It can vary from 75 to 175 yards. A golfer gets two tries to make the green. If he doesn't make it the golfer joins his party by taking a boat to the green and then takes a ball drop on the edge of the green.

After our cruise we at lunch at the Texas Roadhouse. We have eaten at more Texas Roadhouses outside of Texas than in Texas.

Redding

After Sacramento, we went to Redding to visit Steve & Pam. They took us to Mt. Lassen to see the sights.

We took a hike along the trail. Here are our intrepid hikers.

We saw a stream through a meadow.

We also saw small water falls.

As we left Redding, Mary took a picture of Mt. Shasta.

Michael's 20th Birthday Day 2

Day two of Michael's began with our usual Sunday donut.

We took Michael to the Sacramento Railroad Museum. There were lots of train engines and old train cars.

Here's Gwen and Michael with an old smokestack and light.

Michael's Birthday Day 1

We celebrated Michael's 20th birthday with Gwen in Sacramento. Saturday Kelly took Michael to the zoo while Mary & Gwen had a foot massage.

Michael saw the fish. Another example of the bottom feeders in Sacramento. (Politically speaking)

Michael was able to ride the ostrich.

60th Wedding Anniversary

We celebrated the folks 60th anniversary at a cabin in Lake Arrowhead.

The color scheme of the kitchen was 70's orange.

The color in the kitchen did not stop Michael and Gwen from fixing a fine dinner Friday night.

After dinner we had Mary's Jubilee Jumbles for desert.

Michael spent most of his time at the cabin playing pool.

The ladies had a friendly game of Phase 10. It got pretty cutthroat but Mary won.

Saturday we took a boat cruise around the lake.

Saturday night we went out to dinner at a local eatery.

Family picture.

When we arrived back at the folks apartment, there were balloons on their door.
